We are looking for an especially talented publicist to join our high performance Spirits Team at luxury/lifestyle PR agency Nike Communications. For this AAE/AE position, the best candidate will be:

· A strong writer who has experience with press releases, pitches and persuasive writing
· Someone who LOVES media, and reads CONSTANTLY about style, spirits, mixology, news and culture
· Smart and eager. You realize that PR is creative pitching, building relationships, conceiving and executing amazing events and more, and are ready to do it all! Yes, product sends and reporting results too!

· Extraordinary passion for the Spirits, Mixology and Lifestyle world and an understanding of the industry landscape

We’re looking to meet recent college graduates or current AAE/AEs with relevant spirits-oriented experience, and pitching experience. You’ll stand out by showing us that you have an interest in our clients’ area, are a voracious media consumer, and by being able to show us actual results from your prior jobs. Above all, you should be hungry to achieve our clients’ business goals and fit into a team that will have expectations, yet which will in return invest in you.

Our team is made up of a tightly-knit group of publicists from diverse backgrounds. Joining us means signing onto a team that works on creative campaigns through media pitching, events, celebrity activations, and sample sending. As an AAE/AE,you will help build media pitch lists, identify new outlets and coverage opportunities, pitch, help plan events, and maintain our clients’ reporting schedules (weekly, monthly and annual). You’ll start pitching on Day 1, and work with your supervisors to develop your skills as you grow here.

You should be familiar with PR basics, like research, pitching and reporting, and working on events. You should be prepared to own those responsibilities. Our team is all-hands-on-deck, and we all do our share of grunt work. We love what we do and our jobs can be pretty incredible, if not unbelievable, but we – and you – should realize that sending out samples and record-keeping are part of the job, and will be a core part of your responsibilities.

The position will report to a multi-level team of supervisors. You can look forward to collaboration, creativity and a hands-on group of team members who will work with you to achieve personal growth goals and ensure polished client-ready work.

· Media Relations with key National, Regional, and Digital outlets
· Planning and co-managing the execution of impactful media campaigns
· Planning and co-managing outstanding media events and product launches
· Developing and managing client relations and media strategies
· Supervising Assistant Account Executives and/or interns

· Keen understanding of client and media deadlines and lead-times
· Ability to troubleshoot clients’ problems as they arise and to seek senior management input when appropriate
· Manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow of accounts while driving consistent media results

You should be well-organized and great at multi-tasking in whatever way works best for you.
